Built in Cartridge Toner Trap

Disclosed is a device for cleaning toner from the peelable lid
and trapping it in a formed recess.

When removing the peelable lid from a toner cartridge, toner
has a tendency to be pulled out with the lid.  This toner
contaminates the area around the replenisher and requires periodic
cleaning.  It also gets on the operator and becomes a frustration
factor.

To eliminate these problems, a soft durometer sponge (item 1)
is attached to the cartridge (item 2) in a specific orientation so
that as the lid (item 3) is removed it rubs on the sponge scraping
off the excess toner.  The toner is then caught and contained in the
recess or pocket (item 4).
