Snap-On Card Spacer

A moldable circuit card spacer reduces fabrication and
installation costs and functions reliably to maintain card position.

In the figures, the unitary spacer comprises a flat,
ribbon-like body 1 with a pair of right angled, slightly divergent
tabs 2 at its opposite ends, and integral rib 3 on the body surface
adjacent to the tabs.  The tabs are each separated from the rib to
form openings 4 to receive the edge of circuit card 5.

The spacer is preferably made of a polymer and has beveled tab
edges.  It is pushed over the sides of adjacent circuit cards.  The
spacers have sufficient resilience and strength to frictionally grip
the cards and maintain their separation.
