Horizontally Scrolling an Icon Grid Style List

This article describes a method for the scrolling of icon grid
lists.  By giving the user the ability to scroll icon grid lists it
allows him/her the capability to use Icon Grids that are wider then
the visible window or even the screen.

A tiled icon list may not fit in a window or even on the
screen.  There may be icons that appear to the right or the left of
the visible grid columns.

The solution is to allow the application to optionally have
horizontal scroll bar.  The user may then use the scroll bar to
scroll all icons to the left or to the right. Icons that are
currently not shown within the window could be scrolled into view.
The icons may be scrolled one column at a time, or using the slider,
multiple columns at a time. Note with flowing icon styles this
feature would not be necessary since they are bounded horizontally by
the width of the window and reflow to fit within changing boundaries.
