List Style to Display Icons Vertically

This article describes a style of list where there is a single
icon displayed on every line.  Applications can easily manage a
single list interface.  The presentation of the list can be easily
transformed to the vertical icons style through the use of a simple
message.

Current list controls do not support the changing of the
presentation style to that of vertical icons.  This style displays
one icon per line.  The application may choose to have text to the
right, top or bottom of the icons.

The solution is to provide the application with the ability to
change the current presentation style to that of vertical icons.  The
list control will keep an icon bitmap for each item in list.  On
notification (by message) of style change to Vertical Icons,  the
list will repaint the window using a vertical icons style.
