Abstract

Disclosed is a method of improving mechanical shock reduction capacity of a rubber castor pad that is mounted between a castor and a frame. For 10 mm thick, 110 x 84 mm castor pad, addition of six holes of 3/8" diameter will give further 15 - 30% reduction of the shock transmitted to components in a frame weighing about 2000 lbs.
