Enhanced Cardfile Functions

Provided is an automated generation of a tab cardfile where the
key used can vary according to user's requirements to overcome
sorting and manipulating a large database.

The technique provides an index tab on cards in a file which
can be used for sorting and rearranging information to make it more
manageable.  The user keys in information on the card.  They can
specify which field is to be used for the "key".  Default would be
the first letter/number of the first field entry on the card.  "Key"
can be utilized to sort all A's and C's, for instance, or all of a
customer set that owns certain equipment.  Tab only appears on the
first card of each category.  All tabs are displayed at the top of
the card.  To choose all of that category the user "clicks" on the
index tab.  User could also perform search operation to designate
multiple choices to build smaller cardfiles of pertinent information
needed for mini-file and print, generate listings of preferred cards.
Cards could also be generated from the database by keying in names of
fields in the database and system would generate cards/index tabs
based on the input.

The advantages to the user include a more manageable file
system by providing a means to sort/search on a "key" index to
product immediate, perhaps temporary mini-files according to the
criteria specified in their requirements, and the automatic
generation of the "key" tab based upon their specificat...
