Interactive Host Capture of Gesture Input of a Touch System

Provided is a technique which provides host capture of gesture
input on a touch tablet in a concurrent data entry manner to avoid
deficiencies in current techniques.

The user is provided with conventional Host-Attached
workstation functionality, e.g., logon, transfer files, access
programs, etc.  In addition, the user is provided with a touch system
with gestural user interface.  This capability is further enhanced by
the following:
o  An infrared or radio communication capability between the host
and touch system.
o  Software which accepts gesture input on the touch system and
automatically transfers the data to the host and displays the data on
the touch display (and host display as re quired).

The data is automatically transferred.  The data can be
processed and stored on one or both systems.  Processing can be
invoked on the host from the touch system, and host results can be
displayed on the touch system.

The benefits to the user are new function, improved usability
and productivity of data (file) transfer and a natural interface to a
second computer from a touch interface.
