Bulletin Board And Notepad for Reminders (Icons)

This disclosure is intended to give the user a simple, graphic
means of posting a reminder or taking notes for later review within
the context of office software.

The user would "open" the note pad and key in the text. She
would then be able to specify a particular day and time, if desired,
to be reminded about the item.  The user would then drag the note to
the bulletin board icon, where it would be "posted".  The bulletin
board would reflect the number of notes posted on it, and could be
opened to review the list of reminders.  Individual notes could be
opened at this time, as well.

In more advanced systems, users could post notes to other
people's bulletin boards.

When the user requests a reminder, the system displays the note
in a window which overlays current activity and "beeps".  The user
may then close the note, returning it to the bulletin board, reassign
a date/time reminder, or in some fashion deal with it.

The figure shows mini-icons of a note pad and three reminders
posted on a bulletin board.
