Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of User Assigned Service Guaranteed Unique Names in a DIA Library. This concept allows for an alternate naming scheme to the DIA Library Assigned Document Name (LADN). A document receives a LADN when it is filed into the Library. It can also receive a Unique Name which the User requests. The Service verifies that the Name is Unique within the scope specified by the request. The scope of a request may be either the Library or a DIA Folder. These Unique Names may be combined into a Fully Qualified Unique Name (FQUN), which may be used to identify or reference the document in DIA Commands.
