Memory Module Insert Tool

A process tool has been developed to insert socketed modules
where the insertion force must be controlled to protect sensitive
devices or minimize thermal grease displacement.

                            (Image Omitted)

This design depicts an adjustable torque clutch-controlled
translation screw mechanism driving an appropriately configured
extender block to deliver the required or specified module insertion
force. The jaws are designed to apply force only to module and
socket, while not disturbing the PCB.
