N-Dimensional Value Set

Provided is a technique for interaction with an n-dimensional
value selection control in order to overcome deficiencies with
conventional selection controls.

Users are provided with a data selection control which is
similar in appearance and interaction style as the 1-dimensional
"Value Set" control.  The control is extended to provide additional
data selection capabilities in what would appear to be n-dimensions.
o    The visual appearance of the N-dimensional Value Set could take
the form of a cube or polyhedron.  One side of the control is
displayed, as in the current Value Set.  However, multiple surfaces
of the device are partially displayed to allow user selection of
multiple facets of the device.
o    The current data selections of the device are shown with
selected emphasis.
o    Interaction with the top surface of the control is the same as a
conventional Value Set.  To select another surface, the user "clicks"
on the appropriate surface or advances the appropriate surface to the
top of the control via interaction with a "spin button" that rotates
the control.

The benefits to the end user include new functionality, an easy
to learn control type, and an easy to use interaction technique.
