Duplex Module for Fiber Optical Link

      This disclosure describes the feasibility module for a fiber
optic data link, in which the transmitter and receiver are located in
one optoelectronic container, without incurring prohibitive crosstalk
noise.

      The drawing shows this module where the electronic components
of both the receiver and transmitter are placed and wired in such a
way that large ground traces are separating low level signals from
higher current/voltage conductors.  These components are placed in a
metal box with a solid divider that creates separate spaces for the
transmitter and receiver; the optical components are each held by a
lock nut in holes in one side of the box.

      These two design features effectively eliminate feedback that
could result in oscillation and also crosstalk between the receiver
and transmitter that would add to the "Bit Error Rate", making
operation at 200 Mb/s possible.
