Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Cable Terminator/Filter Device

Described is a device which offers a more convenient and
visible method of providing integrated services digital network
(ISDN) premises wiring termination in addition to electrical noise
filtering.

This device consists of an eight pin plug and jack arrangement
(in accordance with the International Standard Organization #8877)
with two imbedded 100 Ohm terminating resistors 1,2 (see Fig. 2)
connected between pins 4-5 and 3-6.  A ferrite tube 3 is positioned
to enclose all eight conductors between the plug and jack connectors.

This device can be configured in a variety of shapes to allow
for either a straight or a right angle arrangement of the plug-jack
positions (see Fig. 1).  In addition, it can also be provided with
only the ferrite tube 3 for situations where only additional noise
reduction is required (no termination resistors).
