Computer Enhanced Dialing Via System Speed Dial

Disclosed is a method to do computer assisted dialing via a
telephone switching system using dynamic alteration of system speed
dial feature of the telephone system by the computer.

The computer program via the system administration link
modifies the current setting of the system speed dial to the new
phone number to be called.  The program then notifies the user to use
the system speed dial function (which is usually a one or two
telephone button sequence) to place the call.

The use of this concept is illustrated in the following steps:
1.  Computer Application reads database to obtain information that
includes the phone number to be called, and other data relative to
the call, such as, called party account information.
2.  Computer Application reprograms speed dial number based on
information retrieved in step 1.
3.  Computer Application displays other information to the user that
was obtained in step 1 on the user's computer display screen.
4.  User does station speed dial.
5.  Telephone switch places call to desired number.
6   After telephone conversation completed, go to step 1 and repeat
process.
