Connector Removal Tool

Disclosed is a tool developed to facilitate the removal of
delicate cable connector assemblies from parallel mounted printed
circuit boards.

It was noted that damage to the connector spring contacts was
incurred due to the short, stiff cable required and the inability to
grasp the connector firmly.

When using the connector tool 2 shown in the figure, the lower
forked members 4 slide under the connector 8 enabling directional and
force control.

Depicted is the tool, cable/connector assembly and the printed
circuit board.

      Disclosed anonymously.
