Abstract

The Dynex Icon will be one which monitors the user's actions and which will serve the user as a means to review the actions that the user has recently performed. The Dynex Icon will sit on the user's desktop, capturing and recording actions that the user performs. The user will be able to open the Dynex Icon and review the list of actions. The user will be able to define execs or programs user has recently performed. The user will be able to define execs by selecting actions listed, select multiple actions and group them, name the group, save it and execute this exec at any time later. This will serve to remind users of what actions they've just performed and will serve as a means to easily program and execute complex sequences of actions.

The Dynex Icon

The Dynex Icon will be one which monitors the user's actions
and which will serve the user as a means to review the actions that
the user has recently performed.  The Dynex Icon will sit on the
user's desktop, capturing and recording actions that the user
performs.  The user will be able to open the Dynex Icon and review
the list of actions.  The user will be able to define execs or
programs user has recently performed.  The user will be able to
define execs by selecting actions listed, select multiple actions and
group them, name the group, save it and execute this exec at any time

performed and will serve as a means to easily program and execute
complex sequences of actions.

Many novice users easily get lost in computing environments due
to the complexity of the interface.  They forget what actions they
have performed and how they arrived at the place they currently are
in an application.  The Dynex Icon will help that type of user by
serving as a reminder of the actions that the user has performed.
Another benefit this might have will be to simplify the work of
help-desk personnel interviewing callers that have made user errors
and who have perhaps caused an abend but don't remember what actions
they performed.

It will help the more sophisticated user by allowing the user
to select from the previous sequence of actions a subset of those
actions, grou...
