The low profile packaging of this device is intended for non-raised floor installations. It incorporates the function of a traditional frame leveling pad and has multidirectional response capability. Seismic Dampening Frame Leveling Pad

      Disclosed is a device that will limit earthquake-induced
horizontal and vertical shock transients to computer frames and other
types of equipment.  The low profile packaging of this device is
intended for non-raised floor installations.  It incorporates the
function of a traditional frame leveling pad and has multidirectional
response capability.  This package eliminates the need for separate
frame shock and leveling devices.

      The device package consists of an elastomeric/mechanical
dampening cushion, center mounting stem, and a metal shroud assembly.
The dampening cushion can be fabricated as either a solid homogeneous
material, a combination of elastomeric and mechanical dampers, or
concentric rings of solid elastomers of differing durometers.  This
flexibility will permit the personalization of mechanical impedance
that would vary depending on the application.  The packaging shown in
figure has a built-in feature that prevents frame tip-overs.
