Card and Connector Support Post with Plugging Force Control

Described is a method to isolate printed circuit (PC) cards
from plugging forces in a book package during plugging and unplugging
of the book package into and out of the cage assembly.

The assembly is shown in the figure.  Connector 3 is retained
on circuit board 2 by pins 4 and 5.  The circuit board connector
assembly 2, 3, 4, and 5 is placed in cover set 1 with pins 4
and 5 retained in features 6 and 7.

During plugging and unplugging of the book, assembly forces
developed by connector 3 are transferred to cover set 1 through pins
4 and 5.  Circuit card 2 is isolated from all plugging forces.
