Visual Rule Construction

Provided is a technique for visual construction of "expert
rules" for automated processing of information in order to overcome
deficiencies with conventional techniques.
Provide conventional features for these dialogs.  However,
provide the following enhancements:

A visual rule construction kit composed of a rule-builder window,
a palette of rule building blocks, and direct manipulation
    support.
The palette contains building blocks for If statements,
connectors, rule logs, valid rule objects, etc.
The rule builder window supports pop-up menus and direct
    manipulation of objects.
Rule building via direct manipulation, e.g., dragging building
blocks from the palette to the rule construction area and
    connecting the blocks together.
An on/off switch connected to a rule enables the rule for
    execution.
The rule log connected to the rule enables logging of processing
    for the rule.

An end user will experience the following benefits:

o   new functionality
o   simple to learn rule based processing
o   improved usability
o   reduced errors and worksteps.
