Enhanced Rule-Based Conflict Resolution

Provided is a technique for selection of rules to execute
within a rule-based system in order to overcome deficiencies with
conventional techniques.
Provide conventional rule-based system support and conflict
resolution strategies.  In addition, provide the following:

A new conflict resolution strategy -- "All Applicable Rules
    (AAR); and,
Specification of rules for the AAR technique includes If/Then
statements in a simple or compound form.

Execution of the AAR technique works as follows: input data is
scanned, each defined rule is scanned for relevance to the data, and
any rule applicable to the data is executed as encountered.

Destructive operations are not performed without prompting the
    user.
User selection of different conflict resolution strategies is
allowed for the entire system or a per rule basis.

An end user will experience the following benefits:

o   new functionality
o   more natural rule definition and execution
o   improved usability, and
o   reduced errors and worksteps.
