Rule-Book Processing

      Provided is a technique for defining and collecting rules for
automated processing applicable to end user objects in order to
overcome deficiencies with conventional techniques.

      Provide conventional rule-based system support.  In addition,
provide the following enhancements:

o   A rule book that collects all rules defined for the system.
o   The rule book contains predefined and user-defined rules.
o   The rule book provides access to the rule editor, which allows
    rules to be defined visually.
o   Rules can be dragged into and out of the rule book.
o   Individual rules can be enabled or disabled.

     Special features are provided for rule cross referencing,
displaying all active rules, an index of all defined rules, and
displaying a log of actions taken on behalf of the user.
     An end user will experience the following benefits:

o   new functionality
o   simple rule definition and execution
o   improved usability, and
o   reduced errors and worksteps.
