Abstract

This article describes a function that will allow a user to change a userid every place in which it resides at one time, thereby eliminating the time spent changing the userid in each place separately. This will also ensure that each occurrence of the userid is handled. This service will be added to existing user interfaces for nicknames, distribution lists, and address books. When the user invokes this service, he/she will enter the userid that needs to be changed and then enter the new/changed userid. The service will then search every nickname file, distribution list, and address book group for the first userid. Once found, that userid will be changed to the new/changed userid.
