Suspension ASM Design and Load/Unload Method for Narrower Disk Spacing HDD

      Disclosed is Suspension Design and Method for Load/Unload to
improve assembling and to get narrower disk spacing.

      Fig. 1 shows New Suspension Design.  This suspension has an
extended loadbeam for Load/Unload.  Fig. 2 shows Method for
Load/Unload.  By turning Elliptic Pin stayed between crossing
extended load beam of two suspensions, HSA Load/Unload is carried on.
This is very simple way compared with conventional method.  One of
the merit of this method is reduction of disk spacing.  It means
reduction of HDD height and increasing volume density.  Another merit
is improvement of manufacturing process.  It reduces cost and
improves productivity.
