Abstract

Disclosed is an efficient suspension design to decrease the space to vertical direction in Hard Disk Drive. A new type of suspension is shown in Fig. 1 and the usual type of suspension is shown in Fig. 2. As shown in Fig. 1, one suspension is divided to two directions, up and down direction and each suspension is assembled to one side of mount plate. One slider is assembled to each suspension, to up and down direction. With this design of suspension, the spacing to vertical direction can be decreased compared with usual suspension. If this suspension design is applied to HDD, vertical dimension can be decreased about 40% .
