Universal Mounting Stand for Personal Computing Systems

Described is a mechanical implementation to provide a one-piece
molded mounting stand for holding various vertically oriented models
of personal computer (PC) systems.

The Figs. 1a and 1b show isometric views of the molded mounting
stand.  Fig. 1a shows a top view and Fig 1b shows a bottom view.

Fig. 1c shows the two mounting devices 14 which are used to secure a
system to the stand.

Fig. 1b shows area 10 as it would have direct contact with the
floor.  The mounting stand enables a system to be moved without
lifting it from the stand.  Openings 11, as shown in Fig 1a, align
with louvers of the PC system so as to provide the required air flow.
Two rubber strips 12 (one shown) are positioned into grooves 13 and
incorporate an adhesive backing to provide a secure mount after
mounting devices 14 (Fig. 1c) are tightened.  Cavity 15 provides air
space to the system for cooling purposes.  Molded side 16, shown in
Figs. 1a and 1b, provide additional rigidity to support the various
systems to be mounted onto the stand.
