Abstract

The icons in the Figures are used in IBM* software, such as Consumer Transaction/2* (CT/2*), on personal computers running OS/2* Presentation Manager*. CT/2 is an integrated development facility for designing, editing, testing, constructing, and running transactions for financial institutions, such as banks. Icons may advantageously include color features, although color is not shown in the figures.

Icons which Include Person Symbols

      The icons in the Figures are used in IBM* software, such as
Consumer Transaction/2* (CT/2*), on personal computers running OS/2*
Presentation Manager*.  CT/2 is an integrated development facility
for designing, editing, testing, constructing, and running
transactions for financial institutions, such as banks.  Icons may
advantageously include color features, although color is not shown in
the figures.

      The Service Icon in Fig. 1 indicates means for accessing
customer service functions, such as currency conversion, bill
payment, and money order purchasing.  Visually, the icon includes the
symbol of two people shaking hands.

      The Platform Icon in Fig. 2 indicates means for selecting
whether or not a platform transaction set will be installed.  The
platform transaction set is a sample set of transactions for branch
banking customer service representatives.  After the platform set is
installed, a user selects this icon to launch the platform
transaction set or minimize the transaction set once it is already up
and running.  Visually, the icon is represented by the symbol of a
person sitting in a chair behind a desk which is atop a platform.  A
computer display symbol is depicted on the desk.

      The Officer Security Level Icon in Fig. 3 indicates that the
security level for the program is set to officer (high) level.
