Method for Preventing Undesirable Program Execution Combinations

Provided is a method for allowing a user to configure a
combination of system programs which are not permitted to execute in
a system at the same time.

Current programming environments provide tools to identify what
is running on a computer.  A human makes assessments about the system
by evaluating a multiplicity of processes in conjunction with each
other.  An automatic method is needed for preventing deterioration of
system performance.  Execution of programs should be automatically
verified with current system constraints before allowing execution of
said programs, to enforce a properly performing system.

This article allows a user to configure a combination of system
programs which should never be permitted to execute in the system at
the same time.  There are many variables which determine performance
for a system environment.  A human's experience is the best way to
know how programs interact with each other or interfere with each
other on a computer system.  This article discloses allowing a user
to set up sets of programs that the system will not allow to execute
on the same processor.  For example, suppose an administrator wishes
to ensure a server machine does not become bogged down with
unnecessary program execution.  The administrator knows many users
may run programs within the server machine's memory.  Therefore, the
administrator wishes to set up configurations which determine
allowable executable...
