Abstract

The icons in the figures are used in IBM* software, such as Consumer Transaction/2* (CT/2*), on personal computers running OS/2* Presentation Manager*. CT/2 is an integrated development facility for designing, editing, testing, constructing, and running transactions for financial institutions, such as banks. Icons may advantageously include color features, although color is not shown in the figures.

Icons which Include File Folder Symbols

      The icons in the figures are used in IBM* software, such as
Consumer Transaction/2* (CT/2*), on personal computers running OS/2*
Presentation Manager*.  CT/2 is an integrated development facility
for designing, editing, testing, constructing, and running
transactions for financial institutions, such as banks.  Icons may
advantageously include color features, although color is not shown in
the figures.

      The Forward File Icon in Fig. 1 indicates means for
electronically forwarding filed stored on a personal computer to a
host computer.  Visually, the icon includes a set of file folder
symbols with two vertically aligned arrow symbols superimposed
thereon.

      The Field Format Icon in Fig. 2 indicates means for configuring
attributes of fields within records, such as monetary, date, time,
account number, and picture formats.  Visually, the icon includes a
file folder symbol superimposed on a person symbol.  A record symbol
(document), having field symbols (broken lines), is depicted within
the folder.  A pencil symbol is depicted pointing to a field.

      The Record Format Icon in Fig. 3 indicates means for
configuring attributes of records within a file, such as variable
names, constant data, and lengths and attributes of fields.
