Resource Access Control Facility Password Propagation for Multiple Virtual Storage

Disclosed is a process that allows a Time Sharing Option (TSO)
user to propagate a Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) password
across multiple host Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS) operating systems
using Job Entry Subsystem Network Job Entry (JES NJE).

The code necessary for this process consists of:

A Command list (Clist) / Restructured extended executor
language (REXX) exec that gathers the information necessary for
password propagation.  The Clist/REXX exec displays a panel and
verifies the fields for input and syntax and issues any necessary
error messages.  It also performs a security routine which scrambles
the old and new passwords.  It then formats the necessary Job Control
Language (JCL) and submits the jobs for execution on remote nodes.
It also issues informational processing messages and logs all
activity.

A number of Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF)
panels that verify the userid, old password, and new password fields.
The panels also allow for the user to request notification upon
completion and to select the nodes for password propagation.  Help
panels that contain help text are also provided.

Notification datasets that contain text that inform the user of
either successful or unsuccessful completion of the propagation
process.

A log dataset that logs all attempted and completed activity.

An Assembler module that executes on any node selected and uses
as input the parameter field passed within the JCL which consists of
