Abstract

The icons in the Figures are used in IBM* software, such as Consumer Transaction/2* (CT/2*), on personal computers running OS/2* Presentation Manager*. CT/2 is an integrated development facility for designing, editing, testing, constructing, and running transactions for financial institutions, such as banks. Icons may advantageously include color features, although color is not shown in the figures.

Icons which Relate to Money Transactions

      The icons in the Figures are used in IBM* software, such as
Consumer Transaction/2* (CT/2*), on personal computers running OS/2*
Presentation Manager*.  CT/2 is an integrated development facility
for designing, editing, testing, constructing, and running
transactions for financial institutions, such as banks.  Icons may
advantageously include color features, although color is not shown in
the figures.

      The Cash Drawer Icon in Fig. 1 indicates means for verifying
that currency amounts in a physical cash drawer match associated
amounts in a computer.  Visually, the icon includes a cash drawer
symbol positioned under a computer display symbol.

      The Products Icon in Fig. 2 indicates means for offering a
range of banking products to a customer.  Visually, the icon includes
juxtaposed bank draft, credit card, and computer display symbols.

      The Savings Icon in Fig. 3 indicates means for offering a range
of savings products to a customer.  Visually, the icon includes a
money bag symbol with the text "100" superimposed thereon.

      The Money Market Icon in Fig. 4 indicates means for offering a
range of money market checking and savings account products to a
customer.  Visually, the icon includes a grocery cart symbol, as a
cue for the word "market".
