Automatic Drop-Down List Boxes

A technique is disclosed for automatically dropping down the
list box when users attempt to type within a drop-down list box, and
to visually distinguish between a drop-down list box and drop-down
combination box.

When a user clicks within the field of a drop-down list box,
instead of not doing anything or giving an error "beep", the
list box should drop automatically to indicate to the users
that they must select the item from the list, they cannot
type it in manually.
Also, the field color of the drop-down list box should be
the same as the background color in which the list box
occurs.  The field color for a drop-down combination box is
different from the background color of the window in which
the combination box occurs.  This will indicate to the users
visually that they cannot TYPE information into the
drop-down list box field.
