Multiple Rotation Servo Track Writing

      The method disclosed minimizes the adverse effects in head
assembly (HDA) performance due to runout (NRRO).

      In a rotating disk stack, information written to a servo track
will contain undesirable spindile mechanical NRRO.  If each servo
track is written during a single track rotation, an AC track
component results from the NRRO that occurred during that rotation.

      The proposed method involves repeating the servo write process
of each track for multiple rotations.  This repetition has an
averaging effect which substantially reduces the adverse effects of
the NRRO AC component.
