Universal Printed Circuit Card Adaptor for a Book Package

Disclosed is a supporting deviced, called adapter, that quickly
attaches to the edge of a printed circuit board with plastic spring
fingers.  This device can attach to boards of different thickness.

Card adapter pin B fits into circuit board hole A.  The
circuit board is rotated about pin B until the edge contacts the
three spring fingers, deflecting them upward.  The fingers snap over
the edge of the board, holding the card adapter in place.  A small
spherical boss D fits into hole C, and defines the location of that
end of the card adapter.

The second figure shows a cross section of one of the spring
fingers.  The spring fingers will adjust to a wide range of printed
circuit board thicknesses.
