Abstract

Fig. 1 illustrates a standard keyboard (1) with its base having the appearance of a front bezel (2). The bezel base is incorporated with pivot capabilities (3) which are utilized when in conjunction with a rugged mounted display (4) in a rack (Fig. 2). Mounting hardware (not shown) for the keyboard could be part of the display mount hardware (5) or separate brackets. Customer requirements also would dictate permanent attachment or removable, lockability, and keyboard angle.

Front Bezel Keyboard

      Fig. 1 illustrates a standard keyboard (1) with its base having
the appearance of a front bezel (2).  The bezel base is incorporated
with pivot capabilities (3) which are utilized when in conjunction
with a rugged mounted display (4) in a rack (Fig. 2).  Mounting
hardware (not shown) for the keyboard could be part of the display
mount hardware (5) or separate brackets.  Customer requirements also
would dictate permanent attachment or removable, lockability, and
keyboard angle.

      In any arrangement, relationship of keyboard to display screen
is greatly enhanced.  This enhancement insures convenient and
comfortable use, either standing or sitting.  A large advantage is
that no EIA unit space is required to add a keyboard.
