Multimedia Originator Pager Acknowledgement

Disclosed is a mechanism and methodology which will enable
callers to receive acknowledgement notification when the recipient
has received their page.  An acknowledgement notification will be
sent to the phone number entered by the originator.  After receiving
a page from the originator an acknowledgement is triggered from the
page station to the phone number which the originator designated.

This acknowledgement service can be achieved by adding a small
transmitter to the pager.  Once the recipient answers their page, a
signal will be sent back to the page station.  The page station will
then send a prerecorded message to the phone number destination which
the originator specified.  This article can be incorporated into
cellular PCs, in which a software mechanism would perform the
confirmation services.
