Incoming Call Application Activator

Often, users receive telephone calls from specific individuals
that routinely require the user to invoke specific software
applications.  Users with intelligent workstations attached to an
advanced telephone system can identify a caller via an EUI interface.
However, an application that automatically activates the necessary
software applications when specific persons call is needed.

Described is an application for users who routinely receive
calls from persons who REQUIRE data from specific applications or
from callers that PROVIDE data to the user for input to software
applications.  This application enables an incoming call to
automatically activate a PC or host/mainframe software application
accessible via a user's workstation EUI.

number, performs a table lookup for a profile entry of the number,
and issues commands or command files from a profile to activate the
appropriate application.  This service uses a keystroke replay

environment window when the user receives a call.  The commands
issued to activate the appropriate applications are customized by the
user.  The purpose is to efficiently activate software applications
when specific pers...
