Abstract

Many people would like to keep lists of who is located on their floor, or in their department or business area and their phone number, userid, office number... at hand, i.e., possibly printed and posted on their office wall and/or in an online distribution list. Employee Database Create List Feature

Many people would like to keep lists of who is located on their
floor, or in their department or business area and their phone
number, userid, office number...  at hand, i.e., possibly printed and
posted on their office wall and/or in an online distribution list.
Creating online distribution lists and printed out personnel listings
can be time consuming and frequently needed to be modified or
updated.

Provide a personnel database (example: the Callup* product)
function that would allow the user to choose (while viewing a
department, or choosing a building number, floor number, all userids
starting with a certain character on a certain node, business
area...) to have a distribution list automatically created and saved
in the format of the user's system distribution lists (i.e.,
OfficeVision/VM*, CMS.  MVS...) and/or the users print or online
formats (i.e. BookMaster*, HELPCMS, LIST3270, LISTPS...).  This list
could later be rebuilt at any time in a fraction of the time it used
to take.

Example:  After a business reorganization, Steve is moved into
a new department and his previous department has been dramatically
affected.  This feature would allow Steve to create new distribution
lists for his former and current departments in seconds, as well as a
new office floor employee listing.
