Abstract

This article describes an invention that will allow an office user a much simpler method by which they can manipulate entry's in a distribution list. First the user must access the change distribution list menu by using the method required for their particular system. If a change distribution list menu does not exist for their system, one can be added as an enhancement to the office desktop system. After opening the original distribution list, Distribution List A, the user will be allowed to select individual entry's by placing an "X" next to the one(s) they wish to copy to another distribution list. After all userids to be copied from Distribution List A have been selected, there will be an option (PF Key) called "Copy to another distribution list".

Global Distribution List Entry Manipulator

This article describes an invention that will allow an office
user a much simpler method by which they can manipulate entry's in a
distribution list.  First the user must access the change
distribution list menu by using the method required for their
particular system.  If a change distribution list menu does not exist

Distribution List A, the user will be allowed to select individual

another distribution list.  After all userids to be copied from
Distribution List A have been selected, there will be an option (PF
Key) called "Copy to another distribution list".  The user will
select this option which will search the users disk to get a list of
the existing distribution lists and display them for the user to
select from.  If the user inclines to copy them to a new distribution
list, there will be a blank line below the last listed existing
distribution list for the user to enter the new name in.  It will
look like this:

     __   DEPARTMENT 5FL

     __   OFFICE TEAM

     __   ___________________
