Method for Remotely Managing Mail Distribution Addendum

      Provided is a method for allowing a user to dial a phone mail
system in order to manage addendum to distributions which were sent.

       The phone mail system is accessed as is customary with the
particular phone system.  After access is granted, the user may
select a MANAGE ELECTRONIC MAIL SENT function.  Upon entry to this
mode, the user is prompted for a time interval in which the mail item
was sent and/or search text (e.g subject, content, etc.) which can be
entered with the telephone keypad or voiced in to be converted into
appropriate search strings.  Any criteria can be entered in with the
keypad or by voice.  Upon successful entering of the criteria, all
outbound mail items sent from any of the user's ids are checked.  An
Address Book database is used to determine the user's active user ids
for the systems to search.  Entries are searched in the user's note
log and the send time and/or search criteria is compared with the
corresponding criteria of the note.  One embodiment then announces
the subject and recipients of valid candidates for each of the user's
user ids.  An electronic text to voice conversion takes place for
this.  Each entry announced is preceded by an enumeration which is
the handle for managing the entry.  The user may keypad the numeric
handle (or voice it) for entering a mode of entering voice mail which
