Method for Performing Phone Call to Unknown Callees

This article allows a user to specify one or more
characteristics about a callee, and arbitrary expressions thereof,
for the purpose of producing a list of candidates.  The user may then
initiate a call with one or more candidates produced in the list.
More than one selected callee results in conference call processing.

Often a user does not have a person's phone number for making a
phone call.  A method is needed for allowing a caller to specify what
is known about the callee in order to do an automatic determination
of the callee's identification and then placing an automated call.

For example, a user may specify a query to a connected Address
Book with arbitrary search criteria.  Upon receiving the list of
candidates, the user may highlight any subset of the list and then
invoke a call function.  Invoking the call function with no
highlighting results in calling all candidates in the list.  A
conference call, as well as a person to person call, may be
established.

This service is coupled to a connected telephone apparatus
whereby an unsuccessful call (i.e. invalid number) immediately
transposes the user to the Address Book (AB) application for
processing as described above.  Of course, the user may initiate AB
function at any time for the purpose of making a call or
teleconference call.
