Abstract

Disclosed are details for two switch controls for the IBM Presentation Manager. A functional definition has been developed for the use of these switch controls which have been carefully constructed visually for a realistic effect to the user. The definition is based on an interface through a Dynalink into the IBM Presentation Manager System.

      Disclosed are details for two switch controls for the IBM
Presentation Manager.  A functional definition has been developed for
the use of these switch controls which have been carefully
constructed visually for a realistic effect to the user.  The
definition is based on an interface through a Dynalink into the IBM
Presentation Manager System.

o   HWND Slider(hab,hwnd,x,y,message,id,back,fore);

o   HWND Toggle(hab,hwnd,x,y,message,id,back,fore);

The functional parameters to both functions are the same.  The
parameters are:

hab                 The Anchor Block of the PM Application using the
                    control.

hwnd                The window which the switch is to be placed into

x,y                 The x,y position the switch is to be placed in
                    the window

message             The programmer defined message which is sent when
                    the switch is switched.

id                  The id of the control defined by the programmer.

back                The color index value for the background color of
                    the switch control.

fore                The color index value for the foreground color of
                    the switch control.
