Abstract

Transistors T1 and T2, along with resistors R1, R2, and R3, provide a voltage reference (Vr) for an ECL type circuit. This Vr tracks with Vcc and is also used to control Vx. Transistors T3 through T6 and resistors R4, R5, and R6, wired as a common base amplified with a gain of 1 and an emitter follower output, generate a voltage Vx that tracks with Vee. This combination Vr/Vx circuit can be used to drive a moderate number of loads, ie., < 50. (Image Omitted)
