Status Report Monitor

Disclosed is a program for collecting data from multiple
machines performing software testing across a distributed computing
environment (such as a local-area network) and displaying this data
as it arrives.

This Status Report Monitor uses a client/server programming
model.  The server acts as the central collection agency to which all
test results are sent.  The server also maintains a display of the
current results, updated as each new set of results arrives.
Although results for all events are collected by the server, the
tester can select which of those are important enough to be displayed
on the computer screen.

A typical server display might look like the following:
Last report received:  Fri Nov 16 11:38:54 CDT 1990
               134
hostname  PID     Write Test    Read Test    Close Test
      =======================================================
      wells     11045   34/34 100%    17/34  50%   34/34 100%
      clarke    12039   32/33  99%    34/34 100%   34/34 100%
      wells     11046   33/34  99%    34/34 100%   17/34  50%

The client collects the results of each test as they occur and
sends them to the server using an RPC (remote procedure call)
mechanism.  The client can also maintain a display of the current
status of the test pieces running on the local machine using a format
similar...
