Method for Automating Mail Attributes Selections on Filtration Criteria

With the advent of mail filtration services,
distributions can be automatically discarded upon reception. This
article describes a method by which the user can have the attributes
of a distribution automatically modified to meet the characteristics
that are acceptable by a potential recipient.

Currently, when a user discovers what the attributes of a
distribution must be (e.g., Personal, High Importance, etc.) to
surpass a mail filtration process, the user manually changes the
document to meet the criteria. For example, a user may discover that
a potential recipient will allow a document rated as HIGH importance
to be received, but other documents will be forwarded. The user may
wish to send the document such that the recipient's filtration
service will not forward the document. There is a need to automate
the process of the user changing the attributes.

A service can be created that can intercept filtration probes.
This service analyzes the document when a user requests to distribute
the document. The predisposition status of the distribution is
presented to the user. This status notifies the user on the final
disposition of the document with its current attribute values. Based
on the intercepted filtration criterion the status would be
displayed. This service presents the attributes necessary for the
document to be received by the intended recipient.
