Abstract

Typically the DOS LAN Requester Windows user will install a shared application onto a user workstation local group. This will allow a DOS LAN Requester Windows user easy access to the shared applications that they run frequently. However, what about the user who only wants to run a particular shared application infrequently? They should not have to go through the complete install process but should still have some way to execute their selected application.

allow a DOS LAN Requester Windows user easy access to the shared
applications that they run frequently. However, what about the user
who only wants to run a particular shared application infrequently?
They should not have to go through the complete install process but

available shared applications is displayed to the user all they have
to do is select the shared application they want to run and then
select the 'RUN' option within the shared application dialog box and
the application is run immediately at that point.  The shared
application code was designed to be smart enough not to go through
the entire process of installing the shared application.

Instead of going through the install process, in this case...
