Display Presentation Space Rendering Optimization

Disclosed is a display device driver scheme which analyzes and
collects information about the presentation space for the display
rendering optimization.

The device driver first provides a scheme which returns
information about the rectangular portion of the presentation space
described by the input parameters.  It then cycles through each
character location of the input rectangle space and accumulates the
following information:
      - total count of non-blank characters in the input rectangle
space
      - location of far-right character within each row
      - location of far-right character overall
      - set a flag if more than one background color is used
      - set a flag if more than one foreground color or font is used.

With the information collected the device driver can then
determine the most efficient method to render the data to the display
at different stages of the presentation space rendering.
