Remote Database Administration

       This article describes a method which will allow System
Administrators to connect to Remote Nodes.  This connection
facilitates Remote Administration of workstations from a central
workstation.

      Workstations in a OS/2* Database Manager Network are a mixture
of Database Requesters and Database Servers.  The Database Manager
provides various functions that enable the user to manage those
workstations:
        Base Support Utilities Functions
          - Create Database
          - Catalog Database
          - Catalog Node
          - Change Database Comment
          - Drop Database
          - Uncatalog Database
          - Uncatalog Node
          - Rename Database  (New Function)
          - Open Database Directory
          - Open Node Directory
        Configuration Functions
          - Reset Database Configuration
          - Reset Database Manager Configuration
          - Return Database Configuration
          - Return Database Manager Configuration
          - Update Database Configuration
          - Update Database Manager Configuration

      The current OS/2 Database Manager design requires that a person
must be physically at the workstation in order to use the above
functions.  OS/2 Database Manager is being installed in hundreds of
