Valueset Visual

One valueset control with one set of selection and focus
visuals provides consistency and predictability to the user.

To be able to show color, patterns, small bits of text, or
bitmap selection within the most efficient use of space, a very basic
flexible visual organization for the valueset was chosen.  Sometimes
the item will fill the cell, as with patterns, and draw a border
around the cell.  For these cases, it was necessary to allow for a
pixel of space between the cell and the emphasis.

To show focus, a dotted line around the item was chosen.  To
indicate which item has been selected, a solid black line shows
around the item.  Focus emphasis is shown one pel from the cell and
selected emphasis is shown two pels from the focus emphasis, leaving
one pel in between.

Since it is better to show one selection technique for all
valuesets in one system, the box was chosen over reverse video, as it
is widely used in other systems.  Reverse video would not have worked
well for patterns, or for some bitmaps.
