OfficeVision/2 Mail Envelope with Attachments and Opening Options

This article describes a user friendly way to display
attachments associated with mail items.  There are default options
for opening of these attachments and letter contents.

This interface enables the user to interact with
OfficeVision*/2 mail attachments.  Valid menu options for the
attachments are open, copy to another OS/2* location, print, view -
icons, view - details and view - tree.

See Fig. 1 "Envelope With Attachments".  The top pane is
read-only envelope information and is separate from the attachments
in the bottom pane.  The bottom pane is an OS/2 container which shows
attachments associated with this mail item.  Attachments could be
many types of files: a spreadsheet, a graph, a document, etc.

The user has different open options which determine how the
information is displayed.  See Fig. 2 "Open Options Settings".  The
section 'Open default' in the window has three options:
1.   Envelope only - opens a window with the mail item information
and the list of its attachments, exactly as shown in Fig. 1.
2.   All attachments - opens all attachments automatically and does
not display the window shown in Fig. 1.
3.   Envelope and all attachments - opens the window shown in Fig. 1
in addition to all of the attachments to the mail item.
