System Level Vibration Test Process

Mechanical defects in mainframe computers can be detected by
vibration testing while the computer is fully operational in a
computer room environment.

Vibration testing may be done with horizontal dynamic force
input using a small vibration tool that can affect a large mainframe
computer.  This same approach can be applied to a single frame as
well as multiple frame computers.
